Enterprise Pay Gateway vs Stripe on its own

Stripe is the processor in both cases — we build on Stripe Connect. Use Stripe directly if you have developers and unusual requirements. Use Enterprise Pay Gateway if you want a storefront, checkout links, recurring billing, invoicing, team access and reporting running today, without writing code.

This is not a processing comparison: your payments run through Stripe either way, at Stripe's rates, in your own account. The comparison is about who builds and maintains everything around the payment.

Choose Enterprise Pay Gateway when

  • You have no developers, or you would rather point them at your actual product
  • You want a storefront, links, invoices and subscriptions working this week
  • You want revenue reporting and CSV exports without building a data pipeline

Choose Stripe on its own when

  • You have engineers with Stripe experience and specific flows to build
  • Your payment logic is unusual enough that no off-the-shelf layer fits
  • You process enough that a percentage-based platform fee is material

Common questions

Does Enterprise Pay Gateway add a fee on top of Stripe?
Yes — a platform fee of 0.20% to 0.75% depending on plan, plus the monthly software fee. Stripe's own processing rates are unchanged and billed to your account.
Who owns the Stripe account?
You do. Onboarding creates a Stripe account in your business's name, and you can open the Stripe dashboard for it at any time from your dashboard.
Can I leave later and keep taking payments?
Yes. The Stripe account, the customers and the payment history are yours. Cancelling stops the software, not your ability to process.

What would we cost you?

Move the slider to your monthly card volume. Stripe keeps billing you its own processing rates directly — this is only what Enterprise Pay Gateway adds on top.
